I'm 41 years late for the bandwagon, but it's fine.

"Rocky Horror Picture Show." Have you heard of it? Have you seen it? I may be 41 years late, but better late than never, am I right? This past my semester my friends changed my life by sitting me down and making me watch "Rocky Horror Picture" show, and here are seven reasons why you should, too:

1. RHPS is extremely relatable.

As I sat and experienced it for the first time in my life, I came across a deep understanding for the main character, Dr. Frank-N-Furter. He possess the pizazz and attitude I've had since I was young. It was comforting to see carried out in a different manner.

2. Sick dance moves everywhere.

"Its a jump to the left / And then a step to the right, with your hands on your hips / Your bring your knees in tight, but it's the pelvic thrust that really drives you insane / Let's do the Time Warp again"

I'm telling you, these lyrics alone just make me want to get up and dance every time I hear them, which is often because I have the soundtrack constantly on repeat. The soundtrack is highly recommended, by the way.

3. This movie calls on your inner-diva.

Tim Curry, the beauty behind Dr. Frank-N-Furter, definitely found his inner-diva while playing his character. Or maybe he had it all along, I don't know. What I do know is that my inner-diva was summoned. From the moment Curry's character first came into the picture, I was entranced. The confidence and grace found within Frank-N-Furter was enough to have me write a whole article over the movie for goodness sake!

4. Inspirational

Let me tell you, RHPS made me want to strap on some eight-inch pumps, throw on a face of makeup and prance around just like Dr. Frank. Enough said.

5. Honestly, what?!

Suspense and mystery is good for the mind. It's good to keep the people guessing, you know? Well, RHPS captures the essence of suspense and mystery down to a T. Throughout this whole movie, or maybe it was just me, you're never 100 percent sure of what's going on. Personally, I like it. I think it's good when you can't guess what is going to happen next in a movie. Predictability is overrated.

6. Oh, the dramatics.

I swear I gasped at least 83 different times while watching RHPS. If you're down for overly exaggerated drama, (in a comedic way), then this is it, look no further. This is the movie for you.

7. The ending.

I'm no movie spoiler, but I can tell you that as the movie comes to a close, you will be going mad trying to figure out what the heck is going on.

If my reasons for why you should take the time to watch "Rocky Horror Picture Show" at least once were not convincing enough, hopefully the GIFs were.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way.
