February 4th. The New England Patriots versus the Philadelphia Eagles. The New England Patriots are looking to win their sixth, while the Eagles hope to make it their first victory at the Super Bowl. If you are anything like me, you are a die-hard Patriots fan. If you are any way conflicted as to who to pull for, here are just a few reason you should pull for the Patriots.
1.Tom Brady
Some call him Tom Brady others call him the goat, but no matter what you call him he is the NFL’S best quarterback. Just this year in the regular season, he has thrown 32 touchdowns. I could go on and on about Brady’s statistics, but just trust me, you want Brady throwing the ball.
2. The comebacks
Super Bowl 51 is a prime example of how a pressured team can come back and win it all. The game was 28-3, and the Falcons fans were beginning to get a little taste of victory until the Patriots came back from a 25 point deficit. Which leads me to reason number three.
3. Danny.Playoff. Amendola
Need I say anymore. The player knows how to work the ball in postseason playoff games. He definitely lived up to his nickname in the most recent games against the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars.
4. Gronkowski and his notorious spike
Throw the ball to Gronk, and he’ll easily put six points on the board, but only by celebrating with spiking the ball in the end zone.
5. Bill Belichick
A man of very few emotions, but many coaching victories is how some would describe him. Although he does not show much emotion during games, he knows how to win them. Since coaching the Patriots in 2000, he has coached the Patriots to five Super Bowl wins and 8 AFC winning championship games.
6. Gillette Stadium in Foxborough
Although I have never been to Massachusetts, it is on my bucket list to go and see a Patriots game in Gillette Stadium. I can only imagine the home team atmosphere of the stadium awaiting the arrival of the players that will make history.
7. If you love America, you should love the Patriots
Patriots were men that showed support and love for their country. In the American Revolution, the patriots rebelled against the British and eventually declared independence from British control. Patriots have a historical background, and that is just another reason to pull for the Patriots in the Super Bowl (instead of the eagles).
I hope this list somewhat convinced you to pull for the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 52. No matter what happens, I will always love my Patriots, in the meantime, I’ll be celebrating out AFC Championship and preparing my Super Bowl dips! Go Pats!
