The bagels definitely were a highlight.

1. Because I Got That Sick 13.1 Sticker.

Everyone who drives behind me knows how absolutely dope I am and when I cut them off maybe by accident...maybe not, they'll still have mad respect let's be honest.

2. I Got to Eat a Bagel Afterwards.

If you know me at all, or if you have read my bio, you would know about my extreme love and passion for bagels (especially the blueberry ones from Dunks) and I do anything to make it reasonable to inhale one of these babies. So I'd say running 13 miles was enough for me to consider eating that many calories. I legit had dreams and visions of bagels in my mouth during the race.

3. Endorphins, Dude.

This is an actual photograph of me, yes smiling, after running 13 miles. Only crazy people or people with mad endorphins are still willing to smile after the hell that was endured. It was rainy, cold, and windy in Gloucester MA and I was grinning from ear to ear.

4. Pic Or It Didn't Happen.

I got all sorts of pictures with my friends and family members with posters and sweat and smiles that I can look back on whenever I want to give me a small endorphin rush of recollection from that day. I love pictures and hanging them up and choosing back drops and frames for my phone and laptop and I love pictures from days that make me happy, so this added to my collection quite nicely.

5. I Have The Confidence To Run A Marathon Now.

Before my half marathon I actually hated running as a kid, and I refused to accept it as fun. I had only run 5ks and that was the extent of my running program. I wouldn't even run the Turkey Trot with my family or the Santa Fun Run before Christmas. After I signed up for the half marathon I ran a 10k in my town and many more 5ks in preparation. Now I am signed up for the Providence Rhode Island Marathon in the spring of 2017.

6. It Helped Me Build Not Only Muscle, but A Healthy Relationship With My Body.

Before running my half or training for it, I was never very fit and I didn't take any time besides my after school sports to do much of any working out. When I registered for my half I knew that I needed to start hitting the gym and the treadmill because of the snow on the roads, and i started to become much happier with myself and realize why people love running. As soon as you run farther than the day before and your muscles build up and your clothes hang better, it all becomes perfect.

7. I Have Something To Be Proud Of.

If you've known me for more than a week then you know I have run a half marathon. Yes, i am one of those annoying people who will squeeze it into any conversation possible to brag about it. There aren't many things that i feel comfortable boasting about but this is one that I will forever enjoy. I like to Oh so you have a dog named Chester? Does Chester like to run? Thats so funny! Let me tell you about...

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
