It has been over a year since the tremendous loss of well-known and beloved actor, Robin Williams. On Aug. 11, 2014, Williams took his own life at age 63, after an unknown battle with depression, addiction and Parkinson’s disease. Known for his incredible sense of humor and passion in both his personality and his acting, Williams was one-of-a-kind. It is hard to describe a man like Robin, as he was intelligent, witty, funny, caring, passionate, and almost invincible all rolled into one incredible human being. But even with this incredible zest for life on the outside, he was losing it on the inside. Yet rather than open up to anyone about it, he put on his brave face and kept entertaining us all. For that, we will always be forever grateful to Robin Williams, making him one of the most incredible human beings in the world.
1. He gave two (now) well-known actors their careers.
"Good Will Hunting" will forever have significance in the movie world thanks to Williams. Without it, Jason Bourne wouldn’t exist (hey, Matt Damon) and "Argo"would never have won Best Motion Picture of the Year (Ben Affleck, you’re still a hell of a director and actor, even though you need to get back with Jenny Garner ASAP).
2. He had passion like you wouldn’t believe.
He gave 100 percent into everything he did, no matter what movie. Each role he had, he treated it as important. His improvisational skills made him who he was in each of his movies.
3. He played some of the most profound characters ever.
You could never tell it was actually Robin Williams playing each role, as he truly became the character he portrayed. Whether it was Mrs. Doubtfire, John Keating, Dr. Sean Maguire, Patch Adams or Lovelace the Penguin, Williams made them his own. And each time he did that, he taught us some of the most important life lessons.
"You'll have bad times, but it will wake you up to the good stuff you weren't paying attention to." — Sean Maguire.
“The powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?” — John Keating
4. He had some of the realest and truest quotes yet.
"You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it."
"Life. It’s all a bit strange. But what is even stranger is that we find it strange at all, despite it being the only thing we know our whole lives."
5. He was utterly and completely generous.
Robin supported each one of these charities. Take a look.

6. He made you feel like you had known him for your entire life, even if you had only met him a few seconds agoor didn't know him at all.
Over 70 celebrities took to social media to mourn the loss of Robin Wiliams, many of whom had never even met him. If that can't display the type of man he is, then I don't know what can.
7. He continued to make those around him happy even when he wasn’t.
I don’t think there could be anything less selfish, though I’d like to see someone show me.
