Recently, because I'm slow to catch on to trends, I've started watching "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon." The stock of stars that Fallon has on the show keep a viewer on her toes, and the games that each guest plays maintains return ratings. I'll admit, the lip syncing videos drew me into the continuous videos "The Tonight Show" has on their Facebook page, but each video I saw had its own hilarious quality that kept me watching interviews in which I didn't even know the star being interviewed. After creating this connection with "The Tonight Show," I've started becoming an avid nightly watcher and have fallen in love with Jimmy Fallon.

1. The love between Jimmy Fallon and Steve Higgins

With Higgins as the announcer on "The Tonight Show," the banter between host and announcer is unbelievably funny. Just one Daily Hashtags short can convince anyone that these two are the best of friends. Don't believe me? Check out this clip from Higgins' birthday on the show: Fallon describes Higgins' birthday.

2. The plethora of games, some of which almost never appear again

From Pictionary to the legendary "Ew!" Fallon's arsenal of sketches and games keeps his viewers intrigued and keeps the shares up on differing social medias. Let's face it, who hasn't seen Amy Schumer and Jimmy Fallon's game of Explain this Photo circulating their Twitter feed? Here's the Wikipedia break down of all of "The Tonight Show's" sketches.

3. How "in touch" the show is

Fallon keeps up with the ever-changing pop culture by constantly adding new themes to his show, including hashtags and Instagram posts, but also keeps up to date with the more pressing issues in society. Recently, Ted Cruz was on the show in a sketch with Fallon about Donald Trump. Within one day, this sketch on YouTube already had over one million views. Fallon's ability to incorporate trending topics makes the show a blast to watch.

4. The Lip Syncs

Thanks to "The Tonight Show's" returning Lip Syncs, the TV show "Lip Sync Battle" was created, and the world became a better place. Who would we be if we hadn't seen Melissa McCarthy's rendition of "Colors of the Wind" or Will Ferrell's passionate "Drunk in Love?" The lip sync battles allow stars to prove that they're just normal people who can goofily enjoy themselves, as well as prove the fact that they are awesome performers.

5. The Roots

What other late night TV show can say they have a two-time Grammy awarded house band? The Roots are a soul/hip-hop inspired band with an ever-changing list of members. Alongside Fallon, The Roots have played today's hits on children's instruments and battled the Harlem Globetrotters. "The Tonight Show" just wouldn't be the same without their sweet improv skills.

6. Audience participation

Not many interview based talk shows allow their audiences to be a part of the show, but Fallon is constantly bringing participants up on stage to help him create a humorous atmosphere. From suggestion boxes to the game "Battle of the Instant Songwriter," including the audience makes Fallon appear overall more genuine and creates even bigger laughs.

7. Jimmy Fallon

"The Tonight Show" wouldn't be as popular if the host himself didn't appear to be having any fun. Although Fallon used to be looked down upon for breaking character during sketches on "Saturday Night Live," I believe that is an asset to his skills as a host on "The Tonight Show." The laughter that Fallon experiences on the show allows his audience to connect and laugh along.
