Halloween is easily my favorite time of the year. I could think of hundreds of things that make me love the holiday and the time leading up to it. Instead, here are a couple of the main reasons I truly love it:

1. Halloween Movies.

"Halloweentown", "Hocus Pocus" and "Nightmare Before Christmas", just to name a few. They are amazing and practically represent my entire childhood.

2. Halloween Costumes.

You have an entire night to dress up and be whoever you want to be. What more could a person want during the year?

3. Haunted Houses.

During the Halloween season my favorite thing comes along with it: haunted houses. I love being scared out of good fun.

4. The Tremendous Amount of Candy.

As a child I would live off of my Halloween candy stash for months. Although now I live off my day-after Halloween candy sale stash.

5. Halloween Decorations.

I love decorating for Halloween. Skulls, spiders and skeletons are essential.

6. Carving Pumpkins.

I cannot remember a year where I haven’t carved a pumpkin. It is truly an art form.

7. Dog Halloween Costumes.

I don’t know what it is but a dog in a bumblebee costume is one of the most adorable things to me.

I cannot think of a better holiday or better reasons to love a holiday more. You can acceptably scare people, be anything you want to be, and eat a ton of candy. Honestly Halloween is simply the perfect time of the year.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.
