Dogs are amazing creatures - we can all agree on that. If you see a dog on the street, your immediate reaction is how cute it is, and "can I pet it?" It's just common sense. Dogs are human beings' best friends and there is no denying the bond that we share.

For me personally, I have three amazing dogs, and I love them to death. The best part about them though is their breed, as dachshunds (or doxies for short) are one of the best types of dogs ever.

Don't believe me? Here are the top seven reasons why doxies rock my socks!

1. Their shape alone is entertaining.

They are the only dogs that are in the shape of a hot dog, and that's a unique quality to them. Given the name "weiner dog" isn't the most flattering, but these dogs take it with stride and own it. Yes, they look funny, but they are also fierce.

2. They are small enough to cuddle with.

Unlike most dogs, dachshunds remain small and do not become a massive size that topples all over you. This makes them the best cuddle buddies that you can hold to your heart's content.

3. They've mastered the art of being low to the ground.

Because they are so small, the ground is usually all they see. So when they see a human that is much taller pick them up, they are more elated than usual. Because they are so low to the ground, they look up to the owners that provide for them.

4. Their ear flip is a nice fashion statement.

Owners of dachshunds will know this famous ear flip from a mile away. Their ears are so unique and so intriguing, especially when they keep it like that and don't have a care in the world. It's a talent worth looking at, for sure.

5. They vary in personality.

What's so great about doxies is that no two are the same in personality. Out of my three, one is as energetic as a bunny, one is as lazy as a sloth, and the other one is as hungry as a hippo. They each have a distinct characteristic about themselves, which makes all the more special as individuals.

6. They're VERY cute.

Dachshunds have nailed the cuteness factor by a million percent. They'll do the cutest things like stand up on two feet begging to laying around looking at you for hours. You can't help but surrender yourself to the cuteness that these dogs possess.

7. They are always happy when you are around.

Their loyalty holds no bounds. When they hear that you are back after a long day of work, they are excited to see you like it's Christmas, running around and barking up a storm. When they are happy, you are happy, as the moments you share with them will forever brighten up your day.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.

15 Things That Happen On Your Birthday

Do you have a small get-together or throw a big bash?

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.
