7 Reasons I Love Being From The South

There is just something about being from the South that makes me so proud. Every time someone points out my accent, I don't take offense, I just laugh and say "thank you." If I could go back and choose where I had to grow up, there is no doubt that I would choose to live right here in the mountains of Southwest Virginia.

1. Sweet Tea.

It is probably the best thing ever invented. You can't get it everywhere, but you know where you can? The South.

2. Y'all.

You can't tell me it's not a great word. You can say two words at once and it sounds cute, too.

3. SEC Football.

Go Vols, am I right?

4. Cute Southern T-Shirts.

Have you ever heard of Simply Northern? Nope, didn't think so.

5. Friday Night Lights.

Friday night high school football games are kinda a big deal. Everyone from the community comes and cheers on their team.

6. The Bible Belt.

I don't know about you, but I feel so blessed to have grown up where there is a church on almost every street, and everyone knows about Jesus' love.

7. Country Music.

I mean, duh?

So, if that doesn't convince you that the South is the best, then bless your heart.

Happy Fall, y'all!

We Heart It

Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
