We're soaring... flying...

7 Reasons Why Flying is Amazing

Think about it. Flying is pretty awesome! Scratch that. Flying is incredibly mind boggling!!

1. You wake up one day in one place and you get to go to sleep that same day thousands of miles away from where your day began.

2. A giant 70-ton metal box with wings carries you through the air smoothly and safely from point A to point B in a matter of hours.

3. This said giant metal box soars at speeds over 500 miles per hour. For perspective, in a car, that distance would take around 8 to 9 hours.

4. The average passenger jet soars around 39,000 feet above the surface of the earth. That's 7.4 vertical miles!

5. You fly with hundreds of incredibly unique and diverse individuals. Imagine what stories, connections, and friendships could be formed with all the members of just one average flight!

6. Your plane is not the only flight in the air. There are about 10,000 other planes in the air at the same time as you around the globe. And there are nearly 100,000 flights per day globally!

7. Everyone acts like all of this is completely normal. And that's because it is! People fly all the time and I'm thankful for the airplanes and pilots that have safely transported me from one place to another. Happy flying!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
