7 Reasons Chloe Grace-Moretz Is The Ultimate Girl Crush

At just nineteen-years-old, Chloe Grace-Moretz has appeared in more Hollywood blockbusters than I can count with just my fingers, she received her first award nomination at eight-years-old, and was included in Time Magazine's “25 Most Influential Teens of the Year” in October 2014. But most importantly, she has proved that she is wildly wise beyond her years and is the ultimate badass, both in real life and in front of the camera. If this wasn’t enough to convince you, then check out some of the reasons below as to why you should be majorly crushing on Chloe Grace-Moretz.

1. She grew up in the film and media industry, but is still grounded despite all of her fame.

She entered the film industry at a very young age but has still been able to maintain grace and composure while in the spotlight.

2. She chooses female-driven roles when evaluating films

As opposed to being the mere “female plot device” in a film, she has said in interviews that she makes a conscious effort to play roles that aren’t limited by acting as the girlfriend or the damsel in distress. While the majority of her films have attracted a targeted demographic of teens and young adults, the projects she has been attached to are versatile in regard to the varied narratives that are explored.

3. Her wardrobe is always on point

Whether she is at a red carpet event or on the set of a film she is shooting, she is always serving up major fashion goals.

4. She considers herself a “born feminist”

In society, there can unfortunately be a taboo connotation that comes from labelling yourself as a feminist. While celebrities have tended to not reveal sensitive information in order to avoid impacting the general public's opinion of them, she has always been outspoken about supporting feminism and women’s rights.

5. She is a supporter of gender equality and LGBT rights

Upon discovering that her two older brothers were struggling in coming out to the family, she felt encouraged to provide a space for educating people, and adopting a space of inclusion rather than exclusion. She has said in the past that, “No one should care what your sexual orientation is, what color your skin is, or if you're a man or a woman.”

6. She is willing to stand up to bullying on social media, even when she is the one being targeted.

7. She isn't part of a girl "squad"

in the realm of popular culture, the term "squad" has been thrown around quite a bit in the last couple of years to define girls who hang out together in a tight-knit group. While she understands the concept of a squad, she believes that they can "exclude" people most of the time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
