I am an avid cat person and all my friends know this. I am also not a fan of people, at all. I would definitely rather spend my whole life with a cat and wouldn't have a care in the world. Cats are so easy to take care of, they still love attention, and you never feel lonely around them. Here are a few reasons why cats are ultimately better than people.

1. They don't talk. Therefore, they don't argue.

I hate small talk and I hate when people argue. It's just no worth it. Luckily, if I tell my cat "no" he doesn't argue. Well, he might "meow" but that's it.

2. It is socially acceptable to pet them.

Petting my cat is comforting to both parties. Petting humans? Not so much.

3. They let you listen to your problems without judging.

I can rant all day long to my cat and he won't put in his two cents. Although I don't get any guidance, it's probably for the better.

4. They don't make as much of a mess.

I hate all bodily fluids, but I would probably handle cat's over human's.

5. Kittens are way cuter than human babies.

This is straight facts. No discussion needed.

6. Cats are an open book; you can always tell what they want.

They are so easy to read. My cat does the same exact thing everyday when he wants food. So, I know exactly what to do to get him to stop meowing.

7. They sleep non-stop, so they are very low maintenance.

I don't have to groom them, spend hours feeding them, or opening the door to let them outside. I simply pour some food and clean their box. Easy as pie.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
