Cows may just seem like cows to some people, but to others they are more than just an animal.

1. They like to cuddle.

Sometimes, you just need a little bit of down time to cuddle.

2. They love you for you.

There's no room for judgement when it comes to cattle. They love you for you (probably because you feed them, but that's beside the point).

3. They like to eat as much as you do.

In need of someone who likes to snack as much as you do? No worries, the cows will sit and munch with you.

4. If you are in a bad mood, the cows can always cheer you up.

Any time you are in a bad mood or upset, going out to the barn to visit the cows will always make you feel better. They are typically always happy, so you can't help but smile at them.

5. They have the spunkiest personalities.

When it is especially nice outside, cattle love to show their true personalities. Sometimes you find them in situations where you just have to laugh.

6. They rely on you like a real friend would.

Sometimes they are the right type of friend you need.

7. They won't ever tell your secrets.

Whenever you need to vent, the cows are always there to listen. It's a bonus that they can't tell anyone what you have said!

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
