7 Quotes That Inspire Me Each And Every Day

Sometimes we just need a little inspiration. Not everyday is going to be a good day. We're going to stumble and fall. Someone will tell you you're not good enough. The world is not perfect, so having something to focus on, something that inspires you to be the best possible version of yourself is important. Here are seven quotes that inspire me each and every day.

1. "Growth is painful. Change is painful. But nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don't belong."

I hate change. Almost nobody likes change. It's a part of life that I know I have to experience and will continue to experience, but it's hard. A lot of times it comes when you aren't expecting it, throwing you off guard. Change sucks and it always will. But what we have to remember is that change can be a good thing, and it is often needed. It leads you to bigger and better things and takes away things that just aren't meant to be apart of your life.

2. "If it comes; let it. If it goes; let it."

I don't think I will ever fully be able to wrap my head around why certain people walk out of your life. It's as if one day, any relationship you ever had no longer existed and someone that may have meant the world to you is gone. It's not an easy thing to just accept. But what I am reminded of everyday, is that I am worth more than what the people who left think of me. So just as it says, if it comes; let it and if it goes; let it. There's a reason they're there and a reason they left.

3. "Be the kind of woman who is so passionate about being like Jesus, that she doesn't let heartbreak stop her from loving others."

Heartbreak sucks in all kind of forms. Whether it be a best friend, a boyfriend, or a parent, the pain is all the same. It brings you to put walls up and push people away. You have a hard time letting people in and trusting them with your already broken heart. There's no best way to get over heartbreak but I'd like to think knowing you are and always will be loved by Jesus helps heal the pain. To trust in him and know he always has you no matter what. With your passion for him and his love, loving others like He loves you should bring no fear of heartbreak.

4. "Sometimes what we learn and who we become in the process of waiting, is even more important than what we're waiting for."

I'll start off by saying that I hate waiting. I can have patience when it comes to certain things, but waiting for something good to happen, or something that excites you is hard. You don't want to wait, you want to experience it now. I think I get this feeling a lot when I think about being married and having a family someday. Sure, I could have that now, but it wouldn't be what I'm expecting. I have so much more to learn about myself and what I truly want. These things will shape me into the person I'm meant to be; and all of that happened while waiting for my turn at finding love. Patience is hard to have sometimes, but you may be better for having them.

5. "A good laugh and a long sleep are the two best cures for everything."

Sometimes I forget that life is supposed to be fun. Work is supposed to be something you look forward to going to. I worry so much about how I'm going to get to the place I want to be, I forget where I'm even going and why I chose to go there. I think a lot of us need to take a step back and just relax for a second. Do you remember the last time you really laughed? Not like a 'haha that was funny' kind of laugh, but a laugh that brings tears to your eyes, a laugh you feel in your stomach. How long has it been since you've turned off the alarms and let your self sleep in? When we get going and are always busy, we stress out over things that should be fun. Whether its stress from work, a broken heart, or a bad day a good laugh and a long sleep are the two best things you can do.

6. "Don't stop until you're proud."

We've been told since we were little that we can be anything we want to be. The sky's the limit and we should dream big. Meanwhile, society tells us we aren't smart enough, skinny enough, strong enough, pretty enough, or good enough. We stopped believing in ourselves and let others decide for us. I'm at fault for this too. I've let failure put me down. I've let people push me around. I've let relationships define me. I'm taking back my life though. I'm determining what makes me happy and where I want to be. I'm choosing to be proud of all of me and if at some point I'm not, I won't stop until I am. I'm doing it because I want too. Not because society has an impossible mold that anyone "would be proud to be."

7. "Live in such as way, that if someone spoke badly of you, no one would believe it."

Kindness is a hard thing to come by these days. Everyone is too worried about what they'll get out of it, rather than just doing it because it's the right thing to do. Seldomly do we see relationships where a third person isn't involved, friends that don't gossip behind each others backs, or kids volunteering just because rather than because it looks good on your resume. I strive to be nice to everyone I meet. I know you can't like everyone and not everyone will like you, but there is no excuse to be anything but kind. It's not an easy thing, you'll get sucked into the gossip at school or work and your emotions may take over when you've been hurt or a loved one has been. But to imagine a world where people were just kind because it was weird not to be makes trying worth it.

Sometimes we all just need a little inspiration.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
