I am proud to admit that I indeed feel the bern. Bernie Sanders is what this country needs. Though at one time quite unknown, Sanders has been gaining popularity faster than any other presidential candidate. I've never seen someone speak to the younger generation the way Bernie does. On my college campus, the amount of Bernie stickers, buttons, and shirts is incredible. We need Bernie. If you're not convinced, these quotes will show you that Sanders is who can save our country. And if the quotes don't get you, the supporting pictures will have you sold.
1. "Millions are unemployed and our roads and bridges are falling apart. If we can spend $6 trillion sending people to war, we can spend $1 trillion to put Americans to work fixing our nation's crumbling infrastructure. Let's rebuild America and create jobs."
2. "I am going to do my best to try to create a country in which children are not living in poverty, in which kids can go to college, in which old people have health care. Will I succeed? I can't guarantee you that, but I can tell you that from a human point of view, it is better to show up than to give up."
3. "What the American people want to see in their president who not necessarily can win every fight, but they want to see him stand up and fight for what he believes, take his case to the American people."
4. "A land where millionaires and billionaires have never had it so good, while tens of millions struggle just to survive is not what Christianity is about. It's not what Judaism is about. And it's not what America is supposed to be about."
5. "You know, I think many people have the mistaken impression that Congress regulates Wall Street. In truth, that's not the case. The real truth is that Wall Street regulates the Congress."
6. "If you can't afford to take care of your veterans, then don't go to war."
7. "Finally, let's understand that when we stand together, we will always win. When men and women stand together for justice, we win. When black, white, Hispanic people stand together for justice, we win."
Just look at that smile! But if you're still not convinced, or maybe you're still leaning more towards Hilary Clinton, just remember who always has been.
Bern baby, bern.
