7 Places I Want To Go After I Graduate

Sometimes, I really hate college. Like, really hate it. However, I know exactly why I want to be here, and that's to do something I love with my degree in the future. Because for the next for what feels like a million years I will be in school, here are ten places, I would like to go if I was not here, and places I want to go when I graduate.

1. Grad School

Typical that someone wants to go to grad school after they graduate, but in order to go further in my career, it's something I need to put into high consideration, and start preparing for soon, which is scary.

2. The beach

Yes, the beach. In the almost 20 years of me living on this earth, I have never once been to the beach. I am extremely terrified of sharks, but if I die and never go to the beach, that's gonna suck.

3. Paris

I have been studying french since 11th grade, and now that I am a Sophomore in college still studying the language, I think I would be able to get by understanding and speaking.. maybe. Its so beautiful, I doubt I will ever be able to go there, sadly.

4. Los Angeles

Honestly, no reason. Just because why not.

5. Seeing the Northern Lights

No idea where you can see them. I know somewhere cold, but this is definitely on my bucket list.

6. Disney World

I've already been here twice, so why not a third time, or four, or five, or six more times.

7.Egypt

Ever since I was little, I have always been interested in Egypt, and mummies, and how they write, so that would be super cool.

Almost all of these seem impossible, but I hope to work hard enough to go to some of these places.

Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
