Living in Westchester County in New York all my life, I have explored many times what it has to offer. Being in Eastchester specifically, there is not much to do since it is a small town. Many times my friends and I would want to do something and we end up driving around because we can't find something to do. As I became more of an independent driver, I started to venture out and find new places that I could enjoy for different things. Here are 7 places that I have found to be worth visiting in Westchester County. These are only suggestions and there are many other places to visit, but I haven't visited them yet.
1. Slave To The Grind- Bronxville
Literally the cutest coffee shop in the world. If you want a chill, laid back place to come meet up with friends, this is the place you have to take a trip to. Oh and the coffee is actually reallllly good.
2. Ridge Hill- Yonkers
This mall has everything you need without the need to go to a million separate places. Movie theater, clothing stores, restaurants and so much more. Good for a rainy day with covered walkways or to walk around outside on the sunniest of days. It is extremely kid friendly and another great hangout place.
3. Playland Amusement Park- Rye
No matter what age you are, this is one place to go to have extreme fun. Having a beach, water park, and regular amusement rides, you can spend a full day here and never run out of fun things to do.
4. New Roc City- New Rochelle
Another great little fun mall, including a movie theater, resturants, and other fun activites like bowling and glow in the dark mini golf. This is a great place to hang with friends or family outing. Either way, a great place to visit and have fun.
5. Central Avenue- Yonkers
This whole strip is just bound of endless possibilities. Places to eat and shop for all different things. When you are in need of anything, going down this road can bring you to multiple places that will help you find what you need.
6. Wilkens Farm- Yorktown
This farm is a must in the fall in Westchester County. Apple cider donuts, apples, and hayrides are going on all the time. What more can you ask for?
7. House of Sports- Ardsley
This place is very close to my heart. A fantastic sport facility including lacrosse, soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, and hockey. This is the place to come train, have fun, and potentially become the best athlete you can.
