Pennsylvania is such a cool state. Pennsylvania is known pretty much only for Hershey but it is so much more than that. These are some places you should visit if you come to PA.

1. Lititz

Lititz is a little town in Lancaster County. Lititz is great for people who love little Mom-and-Pop shops and old Bohemian style buildings. A ton of family owned stores and restaurants are located here. Lititz is also known for being the place that the Wilbur Chocolate Factory was started. You can even go take tours of the chocolate factory!

2. Philadelphia

Philadelphia (Philly) has tons of attractions for tourists. Not only is it home to the largest mall in the U.S. that doesn’t repeat stores, King of Prussia, but is also known for other things. Philly is home to the Philadelphia Eagles! You could go to an Eagles game or just go see the stadium. Philly is also home to the Liberty Bell! You could go see the original Liberty Bell in all its glory! Also, you can go to Liberty Hall to see how America got its independence! If you’re interested in spooky things, you could go visit the Eastern State Penitentiary. You can take tours of the Penitentiary and see the cell that Al Capone stayed in!

3. Hershey

This is an obvious one. If you go to Hershey, you can visit Hershey’s Chocolate World! You can go on a ride that shows you how the chocolate is made! You could also visit Hershey Park! If you love big rollercoasters, this one is for you! You can go to Hershey Gardens and see the beautiful gardens and butterfly houses. If you go to Hershey during the holiday season, you could go to Hershey Sweet Lights. Sweet Lights is something that you drive through and see tons and tons of Christmas lights put up! It’s gorgeous! You could also go to the Hershey Outlets and go shopping!

4. Lancaster

Lancaster is known for its Amish communities and large farms. Even if you just drive through Lancaster, I would recommend seeing it. You could also go the Tanger Outlets in Lancaster and shop! If you’re interested in Amish community, you could visit Amish Farm and House. Here you can see what a typical Amish household looks like, take tours of some farms, and tons of other things!

5. Gettysburg

If you’re a Civil War buff, go to Gettysburg. You can take tours of the sites of the Battles of Gettysburg. You can stand on the grounds that were fought on. It is truly an experience. You could also see a reenactment where they reenact the Battles of Gettysburg. You can also take ghost tours of Gettysburg! Maybe you’ll find some lingering ghosts there from the war! Gettysburg also is home to the Gettysburg Outlets, so more shopping!

6. Punxsutawney

See Punxsutawney Phil himself! Go to Gobbler’s Knob and look around! You can even see the weather-predicting-groundhog! Obviously, if you really want to see the craziness, you could go on February 2 and watch Phil tell us if we will have a long winter.

7. Williamsport

Not only is Williamsport home to Lycoming College and Penn College, but it is also home to the Little League World Series. You could go see the Little League World Series Museum and Gift Shop. If you come at the right time of year, you could attend a game!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
