Eight Phases Students Go Through While Studying Abroad

Studying abroad is one of the most eyeopening and scary experiences you can go through. Letting go of all that you have become accustomed to and what you have grown up with can be scary, but it is such a beautiful experience that everyone should have at least once in their life. Once you choose a place to travel to, your mind starts to go everywhere. You get a whirlwind of emotions, and they seem to take over. Here are just some of the phases you go through when studying abroad.

1. Picking a place to go.

2. Packing your entire closet because you are going to be gone for months.

3. Stressing and regretting your decision to leave because you think you'll miss out.

4. Facing reality and leaving the country.

5. Getting to a new country and missing life back home.

6. But after a couple of weeks, you do not ever want to go home.

7. Looking at your bank account and seeing how close you are to being broke.

8. Realizing it's time to go home and going back super cultured.

Even though it may be scary and different from your everyday routine, I highly recommend that you study abroad if you can. Exploring new countries and meeting new people is a priceless experience.

I ask for the bathroom and a friend of my tinder date shows me to it and said in all seriousness that I was not allowed to flush the toilet under ANY circumstances. Having a few drinks--or five--I relieved myself to, nevertheless, flush the toilet. Within seconds, his bathroom was flooded and towels were laid out everywhere to catch the toilet water. To say the least, we were not invited back"

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.
