When I think of summer, I think of sunshine, tan lines, and good vibes. But one of my favorite things about summer is dressing for the warm weather. There are so many more clothing options for the hot summer months ahead of us, so here is a list of my favorite outfit picks to wear during summertime!

1. Patterned Shorts

I adore patterned shorts because anyone can get a pair that fits their style. They come in so many colors, designs, and patterns that you’re bound to find a pair to obsess over. They’re also easy to get hold of! You can find a variety of shorts like the ones pictured below anywhere ranging from Target to Brandy Melville. Pair them with a cute solid colored tank top, strappy sandals, and sunglasses, and you’re ready for a lovely beach day.

2. Bell-Bottom Pants

I’m currently obsessed with bell-bottom pants. They’re super comfortable and come in a variety of colors and designs. I love them for summer because they’re cool enough for hot weather yet very summertime boho chic. Bell-bottom pants are best to pair with a solid color tank, tee, or crop top and sandals or wedges. The ones pictured below can be found at American Eagle, where there are many other options to choose from.

3. Two-piece outfit

Two-piece outfits are so fun for summer! The one pictured below is clean and cool, and can be paired with a cute hat and strappy sandals. Hollister carries a lot of two pieces in skirts and shorts for affordable prices. They have many bright colors and designs to choose from giving off a great summer vibe.

4. Envelope Skort

Envelope skorts are wonderful when you’re trying to dress up your outfit. They’re classy and a quick, easy option if you’re in a hurry. Most stores carry them in black and white, but occasionally you’ll come across a variety of colors. Envelope skorts just like the one below can be found at Lulus and Windsor or very similar ones can be found at Macy’s and Forever 21.

5. Off-the-Shoulder Shirt

This style gives off a dreamy '70s vibe, so it’s perfect to pair with bell-bottom pants. But the great thing about off the shoulder shirts is that they match with almost any kind of bottoms. Whether paired with skirts, shorts, or pants, off-the-shoulder shirts are always killin’ it. The one pictured can be found at Tilly’s in many different colors, but Urban Outfitters and Express carry different styles of off-the-shoulder shirts.

6. Button-Down Skirt

My personal favorite style of this skirt is the faux suede in tan. It goes amazing with a white crop top and a pair of wrap around sandals. A button down skirt like the one pictured can be found at Macy’s and PacSun, but different materials of the skirt can be found at Urban Outfitters, Target, and Forever 21.

7. Bright Colored Dress

If you didn’t wear a dress, did you even summer? Dresses are my first go to for almost any summertime occasion. My favorite thing about a dress is that it looks like I put a lot of effort into my outfit when I most likely grabbed it 5 minutes before I left the house. Vibrant dresses are the perfect summer trend because they’ll never go out of style and you can find them everywhere during the summer months. The dress pictured below is from Tilly’s and would be great to wear to almost any daytime activity.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
