Allow me to be a bit mainstream for a moment...or however long it takes you to read this article. I have recently been really into my Twenty One Pilots station on Pandora. In the spirit of this new-found obsession of mine, this article is going to be my list of favorite Twenty One Pilots lyrics!

“I am not as fine as I seem. Pardon me for yelling and telling you green gardens are not what's growing in my psyche, it's a different me” – Migraine

Uhhh….YES. Super relatable! Who is actually really as fine as they seem? I know I put on a front a lot to make it seem like I have my stuff together….I really don’t ever. IT’S FINE

“The songs on the radio are okay, but my taste in music is your face” – Tear In My Heart

Honestly, I have no other words for these lyrics then, I like it. Someone should say that to me. There is so much meaning to this but at the same time nothing at all. I like it.

“And I will try with every rhyme to come across like I am dying to let you know you need to try to think” - Car Radio

One of my favorite songs from Twenty One Pilots. The song is so beautiful and deep. I couldn’t put the whole song on here so I picked these lyrics. Develop your own thoughts and remember how much power you have when you do so.

“Let's take this a second at a time. Let's take this one song, this one rhyme, together, let's breathe” – Guns For Hands

A nice reminder to take things one step at a time. Chill out. Look at things piece by piece before you try to look and understand the bigger picture.

“I'm a pro at imperfections. And I'm best friends with my doubt. And now that my mind's out… I'm thinking, 'Wow, I probably should've stayed inside my house.'” – The Judge

We have all been there at one point in time. You have all these thoughts and feelings rushing through your mind. When you actually stop to try to focus on one and understand it...it’s a big shock.

"No one else is dealing with your demons, meaning...Maybe defeating them could be the beginning of your meaning, friend" – Kitchen Sink

Once you start to focus on yourself and helping yourself, that is when you start to become who you are meant to be. Take a step back and reflect on yourself.

"Before you walk away, there's one more thing I want to say. Our brains are sick but that's okay" – Fake You Out

You are not alone when dealing with the feelings you are feeling. There are so much more people than you would think with the same problems as you. I promise it will get better, it just takes time. And you are not alone.

Why haven’t I started listening to Twenty One Pilots sooner?! The world may never know. All that matters is that I am now and I couldn’t be more content with life right now. Thank you, Tyler and Josh. Your music is happy as well as serious. It really makes you want to stop and listen to the lyrics. Once you do that, you are able to see the real meaning behind every word that is sung. Also, I can't write this article without a shoutout to my friend, Alyssa, who was also a pushing factor to start listing to Twenty One Piliots.

28 Daily Thoughts of College Students

"I want to thank Google, Wikipedia, and whoever else invented copy and paste. Thank you."

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
