Michael Bluth is the son of a businessman who gets arrested for sketchy business operations, and Michael is forced to try to hold his hilarious family together while taking over the company and trying to get his dad out of jail.

3. "Glee"

"Glee" broke the monotony of television as it combined a classic high school sitcom with enjoyable and inventive renditions of popular songs into one supernova of a TV show. This show surrounds the lives of those in a glee club at school and all of the ins and outs of being unpopular/different from the norm. Rachel Berry and Finn Hudson will become your best friends and your love-hate relationship with Sue Sylvester will hurt more than a slushie to the face.


4. "The Office"

Taking place in the office of Dunder Mifflin paper company in Scranton Pennsylvania, "The Office" relies on camera angle humor as well as practical pranks for its jokes. With the cameras following manager Michael Scott on his daily routine, the viewer gets to witness all of the office gossip and different personalities that make up a workplace. Whether it’s as the bored but brilliant Jim or the Slytherin-esque Dwight, you’ll be able to label everyone in your office.


5. "Friends"

"Friends" was there for you in the 90s, and it’s here for you now on Netflix. Watching this show once you get Netflix is absolutely necessary because it was a monumental success and has revolutionized the way that TV sitcoms are done today. The viewer is taken to apartments in New York City where Rachel, Ross, Joey, Monica and Chandler live. Focusing on how their lives coincide, this show is sure to entertain anyone and everyone who clicks play.

6. "Parks and Recreation"


Ambitious and perky Leslie Knope works in the Pawnee, Indiana government Parks and Recreation department, hence the name. This show satirizes the level of efficiency in government and through the introduction of various characters, relates to a certain nerdy audience. You’ll love this program more than Leslie loves waffles.


7. "Gossip Girl"

Honestly, just watch this show so you know what people mean when they say ”XOXO Gossip Girl.” It’s dramatic and highlights the problems that the wealthy and aristocratic of the Upper East Side. With so many back and forth relationships, it’s hard to put this show on pause.
