For many of us, Netflix is the best $7.99 we spend all month. Being able to watch anything, from movies to our favorite television series, at the click of a mouse is pretty spectacular. Oh, and there are no commercials. Ever. If you're anything like me, you fly through episodes and feature films like nobody's business and are in constant need of recommendations. You may also fear the commitment of starting a five-season series, because who knows how long that will take to get through? In that case, here are seven movies to watch on Netflix, right now.
1. "Million Dollar Baby."
A brand new addition to the wonderful world of Netflix, Clint Eastwood stars in this blockbuster about a female boxer and her trainer. Think Southpaw, but instead of Jake Gyllenhaal, you get Hilary Swank in boxing gloves and French braids.
2. "My Best Friend's Wedding."
Okay, Julia Roberts circa 1997 -- need I say more? This classic rom-com will take you on a journey of a woman in love with her best friend who is getting married to someone else.
3. "Keith."
It can't be a bad thing when Jesse McCartney is the face of young, tragic love.
4. "Gifted Hands."
This film is Presidential candidate, Ben Carson's, motion picture biography. Check it out on a quiet night in and get ready for an uplifting message -- and Cuba Gooding Jr.
5. "Remember Me."
Robert Pattinson stars in this drama as a troubled young man with a tragic past who meets a girl who helps him cope. Watch out -- this one is a real tear-jerker!
6. "Fatal Honeymoon."
Because there's nothing better than a Lifetime movie about a husband accused of murdering his wife on their honeymoon -- am I right?
7. "You're Not You."
So maybe I'm just a really big Hilary Swank fan, but this is a must-watch. She portrays a former pianist with ALS, and becomes unlikely friends with a young woman who is hired to care for her. Don't forget the tissues when you enjoy this one!
Happy watching!
