For all you Grey's Anatomy lovers out there, this is for you. I think we can all say we relate to Meredith Grey on a personal level. Her wise words, bright smile, and contagious laugh makes every episode better than the one before. She has been a quotable woman since March of 2005, (yes it has been over 10 years). She speaks the truth and has said many valuable things throughout the show that we should all live by. So props to the one who brought Meredith Grey to life, Ellen Pompeo.
1. "We all think we're going to be great. And we feel a little bit robbed when our expectations aren't met. But, sometimes, our expectations sell us short. Sometimes, the expected simply pales in comparison to the unexpected. The unexpected...is what changes our lives."
2. "I don't know why we put things off, but if I had to guess, I'd say it had a lot to do with fear. Fear of failure. Fear of pain. Fear of rejection."
3. "Who gets to determine when the old ends, and the new beings? It's not a day on a calendar, not a birthday, not a new year. It's an event. Big or small. Something that changes us. Ideally, it gives us hope."
4. "And people can be broken, sure, but any surgeon knows, what's broken can be mended. What's hurt can be healed. That no matter how dark it gets, the sun's going to rise again."
5. "It can be scary to find out you've been wrong about something. But we can't be afraid to change our minds, to accept that things are different, for better or for worse. We have to be willing to give up what we used to believe. The more we're willing to accept what is and not what we thought, we'll find ourselves exactly where we belong."
6. "It's easier to be alone, because what if you actually like love, but you can't have it? Losing love is like organ damage. Like dying."
7. "I'm all glued back together now. I make no apologies for how I chose to repair what you broke."
