1. Where you are going is always better than where you've been.

Experiencing new things and places for the first time will give you memories that will last a lifetime!

2. We successfully drove 3,000 miles to and from California and had the trip of a lifetime.

Don't let anyone or anything stop you from traveling and exploring. Everyone told us not to do it. They said we were too young, it was unrealistic, we didn't have a legitimate plan, we should do it later when we were more prepared. Time goes by too quickly don't waste it.

3. You don't need a ton of money to have a good time.

There are plenty of things you can do at a low cost. The beaches, parks, and mountains will entertain you plenty. You realistically don't even have to spend a cent. We spent the majority of our money on gas and food. Also, almost every bar has a happy hour so take advantage of that and you'll find yourself spending less money on booze

4. You're lucky and able.

You're not getting any younger. Go now while the opportunity is there! There may be challenges down the line that prevent you from going. So while you can go, GO! You will always look back and be happy you decided to do it.

5. Thank the people who shared the experienced with you.

It's not so much where you go but who you go with. Your loved ones intensify the beauty and experiences you see in the world. After all what is beauty if its not shared?

6. You will get to experience new places, new people, and new cultures.

I promise you that you will feel so small compared to the mountains of Colorado. You will learn so much about the way other people live. No matter how many different micro-cultures exist in our country, our common core beliefs and positive outlook on life will give you hope for a brighter future. These adventures will inspire you

7. You will find good everywhere you go.

Traveling will allow you to meet people from all over the world. Some of these people will remain your friends regardless of the distance. These friends are friends you will stay close with for the rest of your life. You will leave pieces of your heart in all of the places and people you fall in love with along your adventure.

8. After you travel you will be changed forever.

You now have what most people call the "traveler's bug" so you might as well start planning your next adventure. Remember, traveling makes you rich: not in terms of money but in terms of experience.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
