Mother's Day is the one designated day a year where we get to show our moms just how much they mean to us. They may humiliate us and drive us nuts, but at the end of the day there's no one who understands us more.

While this may be true, we sometimes forget Mother's Day actually exists, and we feel really bad about it.

Here are 7 last-minute gift ideas to get mom, which are just as great if you remembered to buy them earlier.

1. Alex and Ani Mom Charm Bracelet

What better way to tell your mom that you love her than with some bling. This Alex and Ani bangle comes in gold, rose gold, and silver, and goes with everything in your mom's closet. You also don't have to worry about the size because it is adjustable for all sizes!

2. Bath Salts

Our moms do so much for us and our family, and they deserve some alone time to relax in a warm bubble bath. There are so many products to choose from, so your bound to find something that you know your mom will love.

3. Spa Trip

Take the bubble bath to the next level by giving your mom the spa day of her dreams: deep tissue massages, seaweed wraps, the works. Depending on where you go, it may be a little pricey, but that's ok, this is your mom's special day. Plus, she had to put up with you, so you kind of owe her.

4. Baked by Melissa Mother's Day Cupcakes

These NYC based delicious mini cupcakes are a sweet thank you for all the hard work your mom does for you. If the Mother's Day selection isn't to your liking (or your mother's for that matter), no worries! You can choose your own flavors in a custom pack. Bonus: they ship nationwide!

5. Personalized Phone/Laptop Case

We know our mom's need their technology as much as we do, so why not give them something personal that they will use all the time? Skinit has a massive selection of customizable cases, sleeves, and more for all of your mom's tech.

6. DIY Custom Mug

If your mom is a coffee or tea drinker, a custom mug is the perfect way to say "I love you." Get a white mug and some Sharpies and decorate a mug you know your mom will love - write her favorite quote, draw a cute picture, really anything goes. Once you're finished, bake it at 300 degrees for 35 minutes, and viola!

7. Tickets to "Mother's Day"

This might not seem like the best gift, but nothing beats spending quality time with mom. You can make a night of it by having a Mother's Day dinner beforehand, and then relaxing with some buttery popcorn and a cheesy movie.

Regardless of what you get mom, make sure she knows just how much you love and appreciate her. She is your mother afterall.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
