Being "healthy" is more than a trend, it's a lifestyle. If you're anything like me, it's not easy (or practical) to try and cut out carbs, sweets and other things that are just hard to give up. Here are eight healthy hints that are achievable and workable into an everyday routine without meal prep or stress.

1. Drink Lemon Water

Lemon Water aids in digestion, detoxes, increases energy and mood and rejuvenates skin. Stick a lemon wedge in your water bottle and sip on it throughout the day!

2. Take Vitamin D.

Popping a vitamin D pill is a powerful health booster and anti inflammatory power holder. Experts speculate the majority of people are lacking vitamin D.

3. Spend at least 20 minutes exercising a day.

Whether it's running on the treadmill, holding a plank or going for a hike, it's crucial to stay fit!

4. Don't skip breakfast!

Breakfast starts your metabolism and helps you stay alert throughout the day.

5. Get a good nights sleep!

Doctors recommend seven to eight hours of sleep a night.

6. Eat the rainbow.

Eat fruits and vegetables of all different colors, different colors serve different health purposes.

7. Go for snacks high in protein.

Instead of reaching for the potato chips, choosing a snack high in protein will satisfy you longer. This allows you to not snack as much in between meals.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
