Gamers loves to reminisce about the first game they played. Whether it's a forgotten classic or one of the first in an ongoing franchise, one thing is for certain; we want to play these games again. Unfortunately, time has not been kind to a lot of these titles due to archaic gameplay, out of date graphics or just cringe-inducing voice acting. It's time these games get a much needed update in the form of a remake. Here is a definitive list of games that desperately need a remake and my personal guess at the odds it will be remade in the next 5 years,
1. "Onimusha"
To be completely honest, I have no earthly idea why Capcom hasn't already released an HD collection or remaster of the extremely popular Playstation series. "Onimusha" is essentially a ninja/samurai version of "Resident Evil" that was critically well-received. Zombies, puzzle rooms, bomb ass boss fights, visually stunning abilities, you name it. This series had it all and would fit extremely well in this generation of games. The odds of a remake being announced is 80%, highly likely.
2. "Jade Empire"

3. "Otogi"
"Otogi" is a a hidden gem that rarely gets mentioned. FromSoftware has been killing it with the "Dark Souls" series of games and needs to resurrect this franchise from the dead. Destructive environments was a selling point 2 generations ago and I feel as if "Otogi" did it well. Sadly "Otogi" only received 2 games in the series. The chance FromSoftware hears our cries for another is slim: 15%
4. "Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem"

5. "Earthworm Jim"
An earthworm in a spacesuit battling grotesque monsters and launching cows into outer space is the greatest pitch for a game that has already been made. An HD remake was released in 2010 on Xbox Live and Playstation Network but we crave an even more up to date remake. I can personally see "Earthworm Jim" being remade in a few years but not anytime soon. 1%
6. "ToeJam & Earl"
Considered a cult classic, "ToeJam & Earl" is a perfect description of the 90s in game form. Gamers were treated with random level generation and items along with some funky tunes. "ToeJam & Earl" appears on many lists when it comes to best games of the 90s so it makes perfect sense that it is still relevant today. There's about a 25% chance we'll hear something in the coming years.
7. "Perfect Dark"

I have spent the last week mulling over all possible games that deserve a remake or even a new entry in the series. There are so many games to list that there is no possible way I could list them all. Let me know which ones I have missed in the comments!
