Fall is upon us and although summer will be missed, there are so many new activities and things to do. Lattes and leaves changing color are just a couple of things that people look forward to. Hang out with your family or friends with these following activities!

1. Haunted Hay Ride

As Halloween comes closer, why not enjoy a fun and exciting ride even before the holiday? These fun filled rides will definitely get you super excited for Halloween. Haunted hayrides are big wagons pulled by tractors that will take you through a number of spooky places. These rides are super exciting and will keep you wide awake. These rides are perfect to take with friends and family and something to look forward to every fall. Purchase your tickets for one of the most popular hay rides at Randall's Island. It is the New York City Haunted Hayride and tickets can be purchased online.

2. Corn Mazes

Corn mazes are also very popular in the fall, next to haunted hay rides. These mazes are perfect for families and friends. This fall activity is similar to a puzzle, rather that you are in it and you must solve your way out. These mazes are great team building activities but can also be done by yourself. You go through stalks and stalks of corn, and try to find the exit in order to complete the maze. This activity is so fun and one of the most popular things to do in the fall. There are plenty of nearby corn mazes for you to attend; Wightman's farms in Morristown is a very local option.

3. Hot Air Balloon Rides

Want to see stunning views? Hot air balloon rides are incredible and take you above ground without a plane or helicopter. These rides are breathtaking and will let you see incredible views of the land around you. Take an adventure with friends and family, these rides will show you the different colored trees and all of fall's surprises. There are numerous landings and places that hold hot air balloon rides so check them out and enjoy!

4. Pumpkin Picking

Pumpkin picking has finally arrived! Head over to your local farm or supermarket to pick out your pumpkins. Carving them is a great bonding activity with your friends and family and pumpkins make awesome decorations for the fall. Picking out your pumpkins will also put you in the mood for Halloween that is coming up soon. Pumpkin picking is a great outdoor activity that is affordable and easy to do. Carving them into jack-o-lanterns are super fun and interesting; they will light up your house when lit.

5. Apple Picking

This fun filled activity is very fun and adventurous. Similar to pumpkin picking, apple picking can typically take a whole afternoon. Apple picking is perfect for families and friends. Apples are in perfect season right now, and the cooler weather will definitely put you in the mood for a warm cider donut with apple cider. Apple picking will leave you with enough apples for the rest of the year, and they are extremely fresh. Enjoy quality time with the people you love!

6. Farmers Market

Visit a local farmers market to get all of your produce. Not only do they only sell produce, but many unique and interesting foods as well. These markets are perfect for "foodies" and people who love to cook. Take a trip with family and friends and discover new foods that you might fall in love with. These markets can feature organic and stands of foods from different origins. They also sell staple foods that are fresh and grown organically. Eat good and healthy food by stopping by your local farmers market each week or go to try different types of food!

7. Football Games

Football season is upon us, relax and cheer on your favorite team! Whether it is professional, college or any type of football team, attending these games can be one of the best things to do in the fall. Tailgating before is also another great way to spend some time with family and friends. Football games are great to go to with the people you love. The cold weather and warm drinks are great things to look forward to at these games. Enjoy yourself, and have fun this fall!

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.

Sometimes my brain just starts turning on an idea and it doesn't want to stop.
