The Twin Cities has the best of both worlds. They are world-class cities with amazing job opportunities, all while supporting a healthy lifestyle and providing many recreational activities, both indoor and outdoor. Looking for a spot for a date? An adventure for you and your friends? A place to have some alone time? Minneapolis and St. Paul offer endless free activities and sites to see. Check out these awesome spots for a fun filled afternoon, night or morning.

1. Movies in the park.

Monday through Saturday, there are free movies in parks in the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs. The movies range from comedies like "The Sandlot," to action movies like "Divergent." Grab a blanket and some lawn chairs and enjoy a night under the stars watching a great flick.

2. Como Zoo.

Sure, it doesn’t beat the Minnesota Zoo, but the Como Zoo is completely free (they accept donations) and has a wide variety of animals to see. Aside from that, if you’re a babysitter looking to entertainment some little ones, there are plenty of amusement park type rides for children. See some animals, ride some rides and even get your face painted like a tiger!

3. Lyndale Rose Garden.

Located on the shore of Lake Harriet, the Lyndale Rose garden is home to 100 different varieties of roses. Looking for an inexpensive date? Sounds romantic to me. So really, don’t forget to stop and smell the roses.

4. Yoga in the park.

The early bird gets the worm! Everyday until Labor Day, a yoga instructor will teach a class at the Lake Harriet band shell starting at 6:30 a.m. Classes will run rain or shine, so come prepared. If you’re an early riser and are looking to start your day right, yoga at Lake Harriet may be for you.

5. The great outdoors.

The Twin Cities is home to over 200 parks, 22 lakes and the banks of the Mississippi to explore. If you are willing to drop a couple bucks, there are bikes to rent just about anywhere and everywhere in the cities. There are also Segway tours if you’d like to learn more about the amazing parks the Twin Cites offer. But aside from that, just walking around a lake or watching a sunset at a park might be enough, especially when trying to save your cash.

6. The capital.

There are free tours every hour of the day, most days of the week. The capital boasts amazing artwork as well as an astonishing architectural design, featuring the second-largest self-supporting marble dome in the world. The capital took nine years to build and cost $4.5 billion, talk about a work of art!

7. The Weisman Art Museum.

The Weisman is located on the campus of the University of Minnesota and is free to all (donations accepted). With a mix of old and contemporary art, the museum does not disappoint. On campus taking a summer class? Take a relaxing study break and admire the amazing art the Weisman Art Museum.

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
