7 Fictional Deaths We'll Never Get Over
bravotv.com

We've all become super attached to characters from all different types of media and it's the worse thing ever when those characters meet an untimely end. Screaming at your television or skipping a few pages ahead to see if they make it out of a bad situation. Nail biting tension and the loss of these characters are what makes you so connected to the plot. It doesn't make this any easier when it happens though. It can feel like you're losing a great friend. Before you read this article please be aware that there are obvious spoilers to many different franchises. Get the Kleenex out you have been warned.

7. Beans from "Cheaper by the Dozen."

Seeing "Cheaper by the Dozen" in theaters when I was eight was truly a traumatic experience. When the family's black sheep child Max, runs away with his pet turtle Beans the whole family is in an uproar. When the catch him getting on a bus to run away it's a happy family moment. What do they do to ruin that family moment? They kill the kids pet frog, what kind of monster wrote this?

6. Marissa Cooper "The O.C."

Does anyone else remember when Mischa Barton spoiled her own death? At the end of season three "The O.C.'s" resident bad girl perished in a fire car accident. Ryan and Marissa were finally going to be together! This was the first show I binge watched at college and vividly remember watching this in the library in between classes, sobbing on the silent floor.

5. George O'Malley from "Grey's Anantomy."

I can feel the tears coming on writing this. The residents at Seattle Grace were under the impression they were working with a "John Doe," but it ended up being George the entire time. Watching the look on Meredith's face when she realize's it's George would break a heart made of stone.

4. Dobby from "Harry Potter."

One of Harry Potter's most loyal friends. Easily one of the saddest deaths in the series How could you hold back tears when it was discovered Bellatrix's knife hit him. At least he died a free elf.

3. JT Yorke from "Degrassi."

"Yeah mascot boy?" The first death I honestly remember watching on television. JT was killed by a Lakehurst student outside Emma's house on his longtime on again off again girlfriend, Liberty's birthday. JT's death added a lot of tension when Lakehurst high school burned down in between seasons and they ended merging with Degrassi high during the next season.

2. Finn Hudson from "Glee."

This was truly the most depressing hour of television. Not only did the character Finn Hudson diem but Cory Monteith, the actor that played him, also lost his battle with addiction.

1. Marley from "Marley and Me."

Honestly convinced whoever made this movie created this as a form of torture. The movie itself doesn't have much of a plot, but my God they make you fall in love with this dog.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
