The 4th of July is full of patriotism, excitement, and celebration. It is the true start of summer with many different traditions that have been established over the last few decades. God bless the USA!
1. Fireworks
Yes, this is an obvious tradition, but also the most important one.
2. BBQ
Hot dogs, hamburgers, corn, ribs, and so much more. Some would argue the food is the best part about the 4th of July.
3. God Bless the U.S.A. - Lee Greenwood
You can't possibly watch fireworks or celebrate the 4th of July without hearing this song.
4. Night swimming
There's nothing more fun.
5. Red, white, and blue everything
It's time to bring out all the red, white, and blue clothing you own. All food and desserts should be this color. In fact, no other colors really exist on this day.
6. Traffic
If you are planning on driving anywhere 4th of July weekend, just be prepared.
7. Firecracker popsicles
These are a must. At camp, they were always given out for snack time on the 4th of July. They are very messy but totally worth it.
