As fall approaches, all of our fall cool weather activities make a return. We can start wearing boots and drinking warm drinks without breaking a sweat. It is that in-between season that is comforting and far too short. Here are some of the best things about fall.
1. Pumpkin Picking
Here's to hours of searching vines for the perfect pumpkin to try and carve an artistic picture on but then giving up halfway through when you realize there is a reason you didn't major in art.
2. Haunted Houses
Nothing says couple bonding more than clinging onto each other for dear life while enduring a house full of college students dressed up as serial killers. Haunted houses are the key indicator that fall is here and Halloween is approaching quickly.
3. Scary Movies
Maybe Halloweentown and Hocus Pocus don`t count as horror movies but they are the most trademark Halloween movies from our childhood. However, real person scary movie marathons that play on AMC are exciting things to look forward to as well.
4. Apple Picking
Who doesn't love trudging through mud to pick apples out of trees? Grab your rain boots and don`t be afraid to show your childhood tree climbing skills. The best ones are always at the top.
5. Decorating
Christmas is probably the holiday that is more well known for this activity but Target is lined with cute decorations and fake cob webs. Spooky grave stones and skeletons will soon inhabit yards. Let's not forget the costume stores that have the most intense decorations to scare the living daylight out of you.
6. Hayrides
It may be uncomfortable and very very itchy but one cannot resist a hayride with some loved ones and a warm blanket on a crisp fall night.
7. Hot Drinks
Whether you are a pumpkin spice lover or not, the variety of delicious warm drinks that come out during fall are to die for. Hot apple cider or maybe even some hot chocolate can bring a cozy night together.
