Lake George is a town in Warren County, New York that is visited by many vacationers every year. The beautiful lake, many hotels, theme parks, campsites and hiking trails make it a desirable place for out-of-towners. Oh and let's not forget the many delicious places to stop in for a good meal, or even snack! Although some hotels, attractions and restaurants are a little run down and in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint, there are many hidden gems in this popular vacation spot. Every vacationer needs to know the best places to grab a bite to eat and I am here to help! Here are the top places to stop for a satisfying bite in the Lake George area (not all are going to be in Lake George):

1. George's Restaurant

This large, log steakhouse is a popular spot for both locals and visitors. Their early bird is the best time to dine on a large prime rib, pork chop or even a lobster tail. The salad bar is a fan favorite and accompanies many of the meals on their menu. This is a must for visitors seeking a filling meal in a homey atmosphere.

Location: 3857 NY-9L, Lake George

2. Martha's Dandee Cream

Located right across the street from Six Flags Great Escape, this is one of the most popular stops in the Lake George Area. They are known for their soft-serve ice cream and large (I mean really, really large) servings. Go online to check out what flavors they have for the day you are making a stop at the fan-favorite shop.

Location: 1133 US 9, Queensbury

3. Spektor Coffee Roasters

This is the place to go for a delicious, fresh cup of coffee. The coffee is freshly made and the atmosphere will keep you sipping on your latte all day. Stop in for a fresh breakfast, and if you like a little kick, opt for the 'Mountain Town', you won't be disappointed.

Location: 140 Glen St, Glens Falls

4. Shaughnessy's Old Log Inn

This restaurant deserves a visit. The warm, inviting atmosphere will draw you in, and tasty dishes and full bar will make you stay.

Location: 2814 Route 9, Lake George

5. The Log Jam Restaurant

Located right by the outlets, this restaurant is one that should not be missed. The Adirondack styled eatery will impress you with their steaks, seafood and salad bar.

Location: 1484 US 9, Lake George

6. The Silo

The Silo serves up a delicious breakfast and lunch. Perfect for visitors, just make sure you are willing to wait. The country store will keep you occupied, and the delicious homemade doughnuts make for the perfect pre-meal snack.

Location: 537 Aviation Rd, Queensbury

7. Bolton Beans

A fun, little eatery with a lot of charm and delicious dishes. The sandwiches are to-die-for, and you will not go wrong with 'The Tom Boy'.

Location: 4967 Lake Shore Drive, Bolton Landing

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
