This weekend is my first Halloween at Chapel Hill and I am ready to see what all the Franklin Street hype is about. Even though it's right around the corner, I know there are a number of people who remain costume-less. But don't worry -- I've compiled the perfect list of easy, affordable costumes for any of you penniless broke freshmen. (Clown costumes not included.)
1. Where's Waldo
Dress as our favorite and seemingly difficult-to-spot guy with a few thrift shop and even Dollar Tree runs. Bonus points if you take a funny picture in the middle of an unsuspecting crowd. Supplies: red and white striped shirt, red and white ski cap, jeans, glasses.

Pick a random collection of shades, or do a theme! Fall colors across the warm spectrum, or the blue, aqua, and teal of ocean waves are a perfect place to start. Supplies: black tank top or shirt (depending on the weather), black hat, colored skirt, black shoes.

Sassy and cute, this costume has a different feeling depending on whichever skirt shape you choose. Pick a swingy skirt for a flirty feel, a pencil skirt for a sophisticated edge, or a full skirt for a romantic look! Supplies: tank top, skirt, craft pom poms, gray felt for the dispenser.
