With Halloween rapidly approaching, it is time for all you last-minute costume pickers to draw inspiration and start to construct your costumes. What fun is dressing up if you have no one to participate in the madness with you? Secondly, all of us Halloween buffs are well aware of how expensive a good Halloween costume can get, which is part of the reason that DIY has been taking the world by storm. For anybody panicking for costume ideas, look no further than your very own living room. Television provides a plethora of inspiration for DIY costume ideas; for those dedicated groups of friends looking to participate in a group costume, here are some easy DIY group costumes with something for every group of friends:

1) The Walking Dead

A famous and recognizable cast that is super easy to portray are the characters of AMC's The Walking Dead (TWD). The easy everyday attire of this mid-west crew is super easy to throw together and the abundance of characters assures a costume choice for every participant. It even provides an opportunity to get really twisted if one wishes, after all, the show is about zombies.

2) Despicable Me

Another highly recognizable cast of characters that can be easily portrayed through DIY methods are the characters of the 2010 film Despicable Me. Chock full of characters, this cast provides a costume opportunity for a whole family, or just a group of friends. It is also a great chance for a large group, since there are several human characters in the film, as well as endless numbers of "minions."

3) Orange is the New Black

The characters of the hit Netflix series Orange is the New Black (OINTB) provides a perfect opportunity for an exceptionally large group wishing to participate in the costume, since there are so many characters in OINTB. It's also a great choice for a group of people with varying levels of commitment; some characters of OINTB are covered in gnarly tattoos and have crazy haircuts, others are completely normal looking (aside from the prison garb).

4) Bridesmaids

For all the girls who are looking for a DIY costume that can be reused easily, dressing up as the cast of Bridesmaids (2011) is ideal. Essentially, all the costume is is a cocktail dress, which can be reused multiple times. Another fantastic plus about this getup is the fact that the characters in this films are the definition of a hot mess, so when you get falling-down-drunk, you can just blame it on the costume!

5) Bob's Burgers

This iconic animated family is the perfect DIY costume for a family or a small group of friends. Easily recognizable and super easy to throw together (since they all just wear tee shirts, literally.) the characters of Bob's Burgers is a fun and easy costume idea that could even be thrown together at the last minute, if necessary.

6) The Sandlot

A millennial favorite, the cast of The Sandlot (1993) is an ideal DIY costume for a group of guys. Also instantly recognizable, as well as the opportunity for many participants is available since there are so many characters. The Sandlot is such an iconic film, there's no doubt that this group costume replica would be a hit.

An ideal DIY costume for a group of classy ladies is the Barden Bellas from the 2012 film Pitch Perfect. Extremely simple to put together, this outfit is simply a black pencil skirt, black blazer, white shirt or camisole, yellow handkerchief and a pair of black heels. Most of these things can be found in the average girl's closet, and can be reused for everyday wear.
