7 Disney Halloween Episodes To Watch This Spooky Season If You Hate Horror Movies

It's once again that time of year. It's finally fall (or I guess technically it isn't autumn yet, but it sure feels like it). Spooky season, if you will. Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of horror. Scary movies have never been my thing, regardless of the time of year. I'll watch them if my friends can convince me, but I will probably never seek one out on my own. But classic Halloween movies? Halloweentown? The Nightmare Before Christmas? Beetlejuice? Hocus Pocus? Casper? That's much more my speed. Halloween movies were some of my favorite parts of growing up, Disney in particular. You know what else Disney did around Halloween that was just *chef's kiss* perfection? The Halloween episodes of their shows. I'm talking The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Lizzie McGuire, Kim Possible, Wizards of Waverly Place, you name it. Those were truly pieces of cinematic mastery. Here are some of the best.

"The Ghost of Suite 613" from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody

I'll admit, when I was much younger, I was a little spooked by Esteban getting "possessed" by a ghost, but thankfully I was able to pick up on the humor of it when I got older. This episode is 10/10 one of the best Halloween episodes I've seen of a show.

"Torn Between Two Hannahs" from Hannah Montana

As if living two separate lives wasn't enough, what about adding an evil doppelganger twin into the mix? This episode was absolutely hilarious to me when I was younger. No spookiness here, but still 10/10.

"Night of the Day of the Dead" from Lizzie McGuire

Yeah, this one scared me. I was lowkey afraid of skeletons coming to life after watching this one, but nonetheless, it's a solid episode.

"Don't Have a Cow" from That's So Raven

I'm not even sure that I remembered this as a Halloween episode until I started to make this list. Raven and Chelsea's transformations into cows will be forever etched into my brain, though.

"Halloween" from Wizards of Waverly Place

Wizards of Waverly Place is iconic, prove me wrong. You can't. Not only is the show as a whole amazing, but their Halloween episodes never fell short.

"That's The Spirit" from Phineas and Ferb

This episode, while short, was one that my sisters and I were pretty excited to see once it came out. Phineas and Ferb and co. have more guts than I do.

"mutANT Farm" from A.N.T. Farm

A.N.T. Farm was such an underrated show. The concept of the Halloween episode was so unique and only would have worked in this show.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
