Seven Country Songs Everyone Can Relate To

Just like a list of other things in society, it seems as though people have a love/hate relationship with country music. Both sides are very vocal in their opinions, and both face an uphill battle trying to convince the other side in their favor. Personally, I can't get enough country. It's not the only thing I listen to, but there are definitely the days that require a country music jam-out all day long. Whether you like country, love it, tolerate it, or hate it, country music tells a story, and the amount of songs that have given listeners life advice or have allowed listeners to see themselves in the lyrics is endless.

1. Kelsea Ballerini's "Peter Pan"

The song that has taken over the radio station these last few weeks allows any girl to put herself in the shoes of the song: Being the girl in love with a boy who will truly never grow up. He doesn't have a plan about where life is going; he just wants to stay young forever, no matter what happens and go through life living on the edge of what is next.

You're always gonna fly away, just because you know you can. You're never gonna learn there's no such place as Neverland. You don't understand, you'll never grow up. You're never gonna be a man, Peter Pan.

2. Sam Hunt's "Breakup in a Small Town"

You could live in the biggest city, or the smallest town, but when you go through a breakup, no matter how much you don't want to see your ex, you are bound to run into them in the store, out with friends, or even driving next to you. It's just fate that you see each other.

But there's only so many streets, so many lights
I swear it's like I can't even leave my house
I should've known all along
You gotta move or move on
When you break up in a small town

3. Luke Bryan's "Drink a Beer"

Unfortunately, everyone has lost someone near and dear to their heart. Often, the sheer shock of losing that individual takes over and there aren't words or thoughts to be formed. People want to remember their loved one, even if it means strictly drinking a beer to honor them.

So I'm gonna sit right here
On the edge of this pier
Watch the sunset disappear
And drink a beer

4. Florida Georgia Line's "H.O.L.Y."

Everyone hopes to find a true love, the kind of love they see and read about in fairytales. The feeling of being head over heels in love with another person and being utterly and overwhelmed with happiness. Essentially everyone wants to be high on loving their significant other.

You're an angel, tell me you're never leaving

Cause you're the first thing I know I can believe in

You're holy, holy, holy, holy
I'm high on loving you, high on loving you
You're holy, holy, holy, holy
I'm high on loving you, high on loving you

5. Kenny Chesney's "American Kids"

We come from different states, cities and towns, but no matter where you come from, everyone has the same kind of memories growing up. The same stories, just everything's slightly different. We are just a bunch of American kids.

Growin' up in little pink houses
Makin' out on living room couches
Blowin' that smoke on a Saturday night
A little messed up, but we're all alright

6. Lee Brice's "Parking Lot Party"

Now who doesn't love a good parking lot party? Whether it's a tailgate before a concert, a sporting event, or hell, any kind of event, everything tastes better in a parking lot.

At the parking lot party
Tailgate buzz just sipping' on suds
Ain't never too early
To light one up, fill up your cup
Cause there ain't no party like the pre-party
And after the party the after-party
At the parking lot party

7. Zac Brown Band's "Knee Deep"

When you are in your night class in the dead of winter, every person can admit that they have spent countless hours day dreaming about warm summer days sitting on a beach with a cold drink in hand.

Wishin' I was
Knee deep in the water somewhere
Got the blue sky, breeze and it don't seem fair
The only worry in the world
Is the tide gonna reach my chair
Sunrise, there's a fire in the sky
Never been so happy
Never felt so high
And I think I might have found me my own kind of paradise

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

1. The Legacy.

Her sister was a member, her mom was a member, all of her aunts were members, and her grandma was a member. She has been waiting her whole life to wear these letters and cried hysterically on bid day. Although she can act entitled at times, you can bet she is one of the most enthusiastic sisters.
