7 Binge-Worthy Netflix Shows For Guys

Netflix has a plethora of shows that you can watch once in awhile, or just watch episode after episode. If you are looking for a show to watch for hours straight, then here are seven shows that are worth your time.

1. "Friday Night Lights"

Everyone can relate to the struggles of the "Friday Night Lights" characters. The show centers around a high school football team in the fictional town of Dillon, Texas. FNL en-captures a high school atmosphere in Texas where high school football is everything. The stereotypical high school drama combats the “football is everything” nature in the program creating an interesting drama.

2. "Always Sunny in Philadelphia"

"Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is the funniest show on television. If you have not seen Always Sunny, then I would recommend starting at the very beginning for the full effect of the characters. Knowing the characters makes the show funnier than taking the jokes at face value. Everyone would love to have a beer with the gang and discuss a stupid scheme to carry out.

3. "Criminal Minds"

"Criminal Minds" has been on air for a long time, so there is a very loyal fan base. There are 10 seasons on Netflix, each episode a different mystery. The characters make you want to keep clicking the next episode because of how smart they are cracking cases. In "Criminal Minds" there is a minimal overarching plot, so the viewer can watch really any episode and understand what is happening.

4. "Lost"

Although "Lost" gets wacky towards the final episodes, I have never watched something as riveting as "Lost." I would not be able to stop because every episode ends with an unanswered question. "Lost" is a suspenseful show with a plot that is crazy enough to somehow allow you to suspend your disbelief and take a wild ride.

5. "The Office"

"The Office" is a comedy mockumentary about the American office. An idiot boss, an over-the-top number two to the boss, everything you could think of. However, what makes "The Office" so fun to watch is having the privilege of watching the characters grow over the course of the show. There is almost nothing funnier than seeing Jim carry out elaborate pranks against Dwight. The Office does not disappoint.

6. "Trailer Park Boys"

Crude and disgusting to the core, "Trailer Park Boys" follows the hijinks of three degenerates who are from Sunnyvale Trailer Park in Nova Scotia. If you like laughing at others’ misfortune then you will thoroughly enjoy "Trailer Park Boys."

7. "Making a Murderer"

"Making a Murderer" can be slow at times, but sticking with the show is very rewarding. It follows the murder trial of a man who was previously falsely imprisoned for rape. The trial is rocky and has little details that create a wild situation. If you have time to get invested into a program, "Making a Murderer" will keep you interested for 10, one hour long episodes.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
