7 Bible Verses To Live By For When You Feel Alone
Aaron Burden

We all have days where we feel like everything is spiraling out of control. It is easy to forget that God has a plan for everyone, and will never give us anything we can’t handle. For when times get tough and we need a reminder that everything will be alright, here are 7 bible verses to remember!

Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”

When life seems to be kicking you when you’re down, remember that there is always a plan for you, and everything happens for a reason. You will never go through anything you’re not strong enough to handle.

1 Corinthians 16:13

“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong”

Don’t be afraid to be brave! Through bravery, many great things have been accomplished and created. If you’re alone, have the courage to stand alone.

Deuteronomy 31:6

“Your God, the Lord himself, will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you”

When you feel lonely or like everyone has left or given up on you, remember you always have at least one supporter that loves you unconditionally.

2 Timothy 4:16-17

“No one stood by me the first time I defended myself; all deserted me…but the Lord stayed with men and gave me strength”

Once you’re brave enough to stand up for something you believe in, even if you’re standing alone, remember that in your faith you are never truly alone.

Colossians 3:2

“Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things”

There is more to life than material wealth. Like the famous quote, “some people are so poor all they have is money”, don’t forget to focus on the greater good in life, for all earthly things are temporary.

Luke 6:31

“Do to others as you would have them do to you”

Yes, even if someone has wronged you.

Proverbs 10:12

“Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers all wrongs”

It’s easy and expected in today’s world to radiate hatred towards those that have wronged you. However, hatred does not fix anything, whereas loving one another can solve almost anything.

So next time you're feeling alone, helpless, and abandoned, remember these verses and let the rest come naturally.

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!
