1. Firefighter Brotherhood
The firefighter brotherhood means you have a bigger family and more people to love. The young firefighters are like big brothers/sisters, and the older firefighters are like uncles/aunts. You’ll find yourself picking on the younger firefighters and looking up to the older firefighters. Yes, they will protect you; you’re a part of their family.
2. The firehouse is your second home
When your parent has been gone all day on fire runs, you’ll find yourself at the firehouse with your family preparing food and drinks. When your parent is working overtime and has not had the chance to come home, you’re going to be there doing homework and visiting with them, and that’s okay because the firehouse is a second home for your family.
3. Your parent is a real life hero
They may not fly in with capes and super powers, but their training has given them the skills to save people on their worst day. Not all heroes wear capes.
4. Firetrucks
As a kid, firetrucks were super cool. We always got to ride in these bad boys and throw out candy during community parades… Which made us pretty cool.
5. Community service
Firefighters are constantly looking for ways to protect and satisfy their community. This means they are hosting fundraisers to make money for smoke alarms, food drives to feed the hungry, and boot drives to buy bigger, better fireworks for the 4th of July! Y

VIP seating = the best experience.
7. Hometown pride
Their job is to protect the community and people they love from the dangers of fire and mother nature herself. They’re the ones who go out when everyone else would rather stay in (or vice versa). Be sure to tell them you love them and give them a hug; you never know when the good Lord might call them home!!
