Amazon Prime Video is often overlooked for its abundance of binge-worthy television shows. For those of us who do not own Netflix accounts, this is a great way to discover amazing series (and immediately convince friends to watch them too). Amazon, similar to Netflix or Hulu, offers a wide variety of shows that people of every age can enjoy. Whether you have an account or not yet, now is the time to reap the benefits of Amazon Prime Video.

1. Glee

This show was hugely popular show a few years ago, but many people have forgotten what a fun musical drama Glee truly is. Centered around a misfit high school glee club, it’s a heartwarming ride of phenomenal songs and great characters. Glee is perfect for an inevitable sick day spent binge-watching Amazon.

2. Teen Wolf

What could be more entertaining than the supernatural adventures of a high school werewolf? Don’t worry, the show is equally much darker and funnier than it sounds. Filled with intense plot lines, awesome action, and a stellar cast, Teen Wolf is the perfect show for everyone wishing to relive the wild ride of high school.

3. Orphan Black

In this science fiction favorite, protagonist Sarah Manning discovers her DNA was part of a cloning experiment. As the show goes on, actress Tatiana Maslany does an incredible job playing over 12 distinct clones. The show is an action-packed mystery starring fierce heroines, wonderful comedy and breathtaking plot twists you don't want to miss.

4. The Man In The High Castle

Although I have not personally watched this show, I have heard nothing from great reviews from its plethora of fans. Imagine what our country would look like if the Axis Powers had won World War II. This action-packed, thrilling show revolves around the spooky hypothetical reality in which the USA no longer exists. You’ll want to get comfy for this binge.

5. Covert Affairs

Have you ever wondered what critical drama and looming crises go on inside the CIA? This show is a high-speed journey of agent Annie Walker who is determined to do whatever it takes to ensure justice. You’ll be on the edge of your seat learning about the intricacies of the government agency and enjoying the intense chases around the world.

6. The Royals

In this fictional British royal family, scandals, betrayals and lies are nothing short of normal. The Royals is a hilarious drama full of plot twists and outstanding characters you’ll love in a heartbeat. The show was just picked up for a fourth season, so you have time to catch up on all the insane action and romance conspiring in the palace.

7. Downtown Abbey

It’s the British historical drama everyone has been raving about for six seasons. If you haven’t caught up to the hype yet, now is the perfect opportunity to binge the excitement of early 20th century English estate life. The actors are phenomenal, the costumes are beautiful and the plot is one that will leave you with awe and desire for more.

With the amazing assortment of binge-worthy shows available on Amazon Prime, now is the perfect time to start a new favorite. Whether it’s a comedy, drama or sci-fi program, Amazon definitely has something for everyone.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
