Choosing an ice cream flavor, however, can be a difficult task, as there are so many flavors out there. Who doesn't love eating cake batter out of the bowl, despite the salmonella risk? While this flavor sounds great in concept, it falls flat when transformed into ice cream form. It's hard to recreate that cake batter taste in a frozen dessert, and often times this flavor can even taste sort of gross.
6. Coffee
Coffee is life; it gives energy and has great taste. But much like cake batter, coffee doesn't translate as well in ice cream form. Coffee is still better than cake batter; it sometimes is even combined with other great flavors, like chocolate. The concept of coffee ice cream is just weird, and I believe that coffee should stay in drink form.
5. Vanilla
A classic flavor, but one that is very boring. Vanilla doesn't have much of a taste to it and is rather bland. That's probably why vanilla is often combined with other flavors or toppings; it needs the extra pizzazz to be more than just tolerable. Vanilla is just one of those very forgettable flavors that you never consider unless it's the only option.

The mint ice cream helps to cool your mouth off and the chocolate chips help to add a nice, chocolatey taste. A solid choice for when it's super hot out or when you want to freshen your mouth out. Just don't eat it after drinking cold water.

Chocolate chip cookie dough is the favorite flavor of many; however, it's highly overrated. Yes, it's still good, but definitely not the best flavor ever. People who love eating raw cookie dough love this flavor, even though the "cookie dough" bits don't always taste like actual cookie dough.

Chocolate ice cream is always a great choice, whether it be because you are super indecisive, or if you are just craving some chocolate. Chocolate is another popular favorite ice cream flavor. However, like vanilla, this classic can be a bit boring at times.
