7 Beauty Hacks For Men

Nothing wrong with a little TLC, boys.

7 Beauty Hacks For Men

Alright boys, this one is for you. We love ya, with all our heart, but sometimes you are lacking in the health department.

Don't get me wrong- sometimes you dress up real nice and smell real good and look on point.

But when us ladies get our mani/pedis, soak in a bath after a long day, or treat ourselves to a spa day, and we offer you to come along, you look at us like we have three heads.

Listen up boys, taking care of yourself and "pampering" yourself is OK. Plus, it's kinda hot when a guy has a perfectly polished foot or silky smooth hair and skin.

Here are 7 beauty hacks that guys can and should follow:

1. Use a hairdryer

Look, maybe you have a really amazing carbon footprint, (and that's great) but your hair doesn't look all that amazing. After the shower, try ditching the typical towel dry and whip out a hairdryer and make your locks look like one of a God.

2. Face scrub/masks

Maybe you hop in the shower, wet your face and call it a day, but do you feel how much your face would glow if you would use a daily face scrub or facial mask? You'll appreciate- I guarantee.

3. Use lip products

Look, I know licking your lips to keep them "hydrated" might solve the problem temporarily but come on, you need some chap-stick. There's plenty of "manly" lip balms out there for you and with using them, you'll be smacking your lips together to feel their silky-smoothness.

4. Lotion up

I get it- lotion usually has fruity, "girly" scents but that's why they invented a men's line at several retail stores, so you gentleman can have buttery skin just like the rest of us. Besides, no one likes rough hands anyway.

5. Get a manicure and pedicure

Whether your fingernails and toenails are too long, broken or just too messed up a mani/pedi duo is never a bad choice. At some salons, there are specials for men.

6. Bubble baths are your friend.

Bubbles baths are sacred. No matter who you are or what you are doing, bubble baths after a long day are perfection. Some bath salts, candles, glass of wine and hot water is all you need. You won't regret it, boys.

7. Looking presentable

Don't get me wrong, I love the jeans and t-shirt look, but sometimes it's OK to switch it up and wear a pair of khakis with a button down. Looking presentable doesn't have to be an everyday thing, but every so often would 1. boast your confidence and 2. make us look good to have a sexy, well-dressed man on our arm.

So boys, there you go. Some reasonable ways to enhance your look. When you feel good and look good, all is well in your world. Stay handsome.

XOXO

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.

Amidst my hectic college career, I always find time for one thing, even on the busiest weeks: Parks and Recreation. This show has made me laugh and has made me cry, but most of all I have related to this show more than I would like to admit.

Here are some "Parks and Rec" moments that relate to life struggles that just about everyone faces.

April Ludgate from Parks and Recreation is notorious for her "I don't care" attitude. She speaks her mind without caring what anyone thinks of her. Fans love her because she isn't afraid to be herself. April can seem cold and negative, but she's really just fearless and strong-minded. And despite her sometimes harsh words, April truly cares about the people she's closest to. These are all reasons she is the epitome of a college student. April complains whenever she has to do any kind of work, but ends up doing the work anyway. April Ludgate is the ultimate college student spirit animal.
