7 Bands You Probably Don't Know But Should

No doubt that there are more bands than you can even begin to count out there that don't get the appreciation that they deserve. I could be here all day naming bands that deserve to be better known but I'm going to start with seven of them. This may be a little more biased towards my musical preferences but I'm going to try to name a few that could appeal to everyone.

1. Moose Blood

This is one of those don't judge a band by their name type deals, I know their name can be a little off putting but I promise you that it is worth the time to listen to them. Moose blood has easily become one of my favorite bands with their catchy melodies and relate-able lyrics. Moose Blood is a UK band that formed in 2012 and are currently signed with Hopeless Records.

2. Avion Roe

I actually just recently discovered this band (thanks spotify) and I immediately fell in love. They don't have very much music yet but what they do have I love. I found myself listening to them on repeat. Avion Roe is an American rock band that formed in 2011, they are currently signed to Epitaph Records

3. Foxing

When first hearing this band I wasn't really sure how I felt about them but Foxing has definitely grown on me. They have a very different sound than you typically hear but it works for them. If you want to listen to something different than these are the guys you wanna check out. Foxing is an American Indie Rock Band formed in 2011, signed by Triple Crown Records.

4. Losing Teeth

Losing Teeth is a new band just releasing their first EP Houses in 2016, They are a Pop Punk band from Tampa, FL. I'm always a sucker for a good pop punk band and these guys are so good, hope to hear more from them.

5. Elder Brother

Elder brother is a side project of Kevin Geyer from The Story So Far and Dan Rose from Daybreaker. If you want to listen to something that is mellow and relaxed Elder Brother is for you with their acoustic feel.

6. This Wild Life

This Wild Life is an Acoustic pop punk duo from Long Beach, CA and they are signed by Epitaph Records. These guys do a lot of cover songs that are really great and their original stuff being just as good. Definitely a band you want to listen to if you love acoustic music.

7. Daisyhead

Daisyhead is an Alt-Rock band that formed in 2012. From Nashville, TN and signed to No Sleep Records. Always going to be a sucker for a good rock band/punk rock band Daisyhead draws you in with their catchy songs and meaningful lyrics.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
