7 Badass "Wonder Woman" Quotes You Need Right Now

In case you missed it, Princess Diana of Themyscira has made waves in the movie industry. Otherwise known as Wonder Woman or Diana Prince, this Marvel character was revamped for the big screen in 2017. To summarize the origin of Wonder Woman, Queen Hippolyta of the Amazons was instructed to mold clay into the form of a baby, which was then brought to life by Zeus. But don’t forget about Gal Gadot, the actress who plays Wonder Woman. Gal is one heck of a badass herself, but we’ll save her story for another time. Here are some quotes from the film showcasing Wonder Woman.

1. When she's determined af to achieve world peace.

"The gods made the Amazons to restore peace to the world, and it’s what I’m going to do."

2. That time her mom reminded her she's too good for any guy.

Queen Hippotya: "You have been my greatest love. Today you become my greatest sorrow. Be careful, Diana. They do not deserve you."

3. When she'd rather wear her version of athleisure than an uncomfortable dress.

Diana: "How can a woman possibly fight in this?"
Etta Candy: "Fight? We use our principles. Although I am not opposed to engaging in a bit of fisticuffs should the occasion rise."

4. Diana's realization about mankind, love, and her undying life mission.

"I used to want to save the world. To end war and bring peace to mankind; but then I glimpsed the darkness that lives within their light. I learnt that inside every one of them there will always be both. The choice each must make for themselves — something no hero will ever defeat. And now I know... that only Love can truly save the world. So now I stay, I fight, and I give — for the world I know can be. This is my mission now. Forever."

5. Her determination to endure the fight... whatever the fight may be.

"I will fight — for those who cannot fight for themselves."

6. That time she reminded herself she's too good for any guy. Preach it, girl!

"When it comes to procreation, men are essential, but for pleasure, not necessary."

7. From the woman who is Wonder Woman on and off the big screen.

“Wonder Woman is not relying on a man, and she’s not there because of a love story. She’s not there to serve someone else.” — Gal Gadot

There you have it, folks, Wonder Woman is quite the superhero, and very relatable too. I strongly encourage you to see the film if you haven’t already, not only for all of the Wonder Woman one-liners, but also to see the wonderful work director Patty Jenkins created!

"And remember that, in a world full of ordinary mortals, you are a Wonder Woman." — Queen Hippolyta ("Wonder Woman", 2009).

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
