If any of you are like me, then you don't like this whole "becoming an adult" thing. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like piling up debt and being away from my family just as much as the next guy, but there's a big part of my that wishes I could go back to the days of playing army men one minute, spies the next, and Jedi's after that. So in honor of never losing that inner child we all have, I have compiled this list of spectacularly childish items that are sure to take you back in time.
Shout out to This Is Why I'm Broke, where I got most of these ideas!
Nerf Guns
I challenge you to find anybody who didn't have some version of a Nerf dart gun growing up. Almost essential to the overly-violent stage of any child's development are these "harmless" toy guns wich turn any average household into a chaotic battleground, much to the pleasure of all our moms.
Mass Water Balloon Loader
Own the battlefield with this revolution in water warfare. This device splits your garden hose into several ends which each fit around the end of a balloon, for a faster loading system so you can get back into action quicker.
Bumper Balls
A simultaneous cathartic and energetic experience, these people-sized inflatable balls allow you to run full speed at, well, anything. Need I say more?
Rubber Band Machine Gun
Have you ever seen the fear in eyes before you hit them with a rubber band? The half closed eyes, raised hands and wincing body signal that they know exactly what is going to happen... just not when. Imagine that times 100.
Giant Slip 'N Slide
Yeah. It exists.
Pillow Fort Construction Kit
When we were kids, it was as if our worth was measured by the quality of our forts. Forts are the childhood version of judging someone based on what car they drive. It's ruthless. But never fear, for this awesome kit will make sure that every other kid leaves your house begging their mom to buy that cool kit you have.
Smartphone Laser Tag
This one is just plain awesome. Ever felt the rush of a covert Spy vs. Spy death match? Well, I'm sure this is pretty much exactly what it feels like.
No matter where you are in life, we were all kids once. And I think there are plenty of people who joint me in believing that it's important to keep the child inside of you alive. The part of you that finds joy in the world. The part of you that doesn't judge others harshly. The part of you that smiles more. It's important to keep this part of us alive. If we can all do this a little more, then maybe the world will be a better place.
