The goal of every actor is to become successful in his or her career. Most actors have that one role that they call life changing, that brings them to the top of the "A-list" actors. What they do not realize, however, is that this role is what will follow them through the rest of his or her career. When people pass them on the streets, they will be known by his or her character's name, not by his or her star name because that character is what brought them into the spotlight into the first place. These are seven actors I believe are only known for their famous roles.
1. Harry Potter
Good old Daniel Radcliffe. What person on the face of this Earth has not heard of Harry Potter in this day in age and would not recognize him on the street? It does not matter how many movies he stars in, he will be referred to always as "The Chosen One."
2. Brian O’Conner
The legendary Paul Walker. Most famous for starring in the "Fast and Furious" franchise, he was also a huge activist for the organization Reach Out Worldwide.
3. Dr. Gregory House
Who wouldn't recognize Hugh Laurie with his British accent? He starred in the hit t.v. series "House M.D." where he portrayed a brilliant diagnostician with an egotistical, pompous attitude.
4. Brooke Davis
Sophia Bush is well known for her role in "One Tree Hill" and currently on "Chicago PD." But, whether she is fighting crime in Chicago or trying to decide if she loves Lucas Scott or not, she will always be known as Brooke Davis.
5. Han Solo
This one is self explanatory. I do not think anyone really remembers the names of any actors from "Star Wars." I have only heard the name Harrison Ford a handful of times in relation to the movies because everyone refers to him as Han Solo.
6. Edward Cullen
Robert Pattinson's role in the "Twilight" series really made his career sparkle and shine. Before that, you found him in the magical world that is "Harry Potter." He played Cedric Diggory. I do not think anyone can picture Rob Pattinson as anything but a mythical being.
7. Cristina Yang
Whether she is operating on people in "Grey's Anatomy", giving advice to her best friend in "Under the Tuscan Sun" or entertaining children on Disney channel, Sandra Oh will always be known as Cristina Yang.
