Do you work full-time, or even more, and don't know what to do this summer in-between work days? Well, here's a quick list of seven free and easy activities to do this summer to liven up your inevitable fall recaps.

1. Watch the sunset and/or sunrise

There is a reason why people take a million pictures of sunsets and rises. they're freaking beautiful! Stopping yourself to appreciate natural beauty can help you relax and see the beauty through whatever situation you're going through.

2. Beach Day

OK, so maybe you don't have a full day to devote, but chances are, you have a few hours. The beach, or maybe sitting poolside, presses a mental pause on life to allow you a chance to breathe again.

3. Picnic

Yes, there is a nature theme going on here, but can you blame me? Eating a meal on a soft blanket in the grass, with the sun out, and a slight, but warm breeze....sign me up. definitlt more rejuvinating than yet another McDonald's run. And a bicycle picnic? Count me in.

4. Bonfires

This is the epitome of summer, hands-down. Roasting hot-dogs, making s'mores, and an impromptu therapy session with friends/family....that sounds about right. Let your stresses go up in smoke and empty your mind of everything but the next scary story to tell.

5. Going for a walk

I know, I know. What could I possibly be thinking, but just bear with me okay? Even if you're coming off an 8+ hr shift, or generally work 40+ hrs a week, being on your feet for a little while longer can be a good thing. Taking a walk, regardless of the length, gives you the satisfaction of walking away from your problems, while also giving yourself the time and opportunity to really think about your day, week, month, and/or summer in general.

6. Bike rides

If you don't necessarily feel up to a walk, how about a bit of biking? Taking some time and riding around lets you enjoy new places and views. Plus, it isn't hard on your feet, like walking can be, and it's a bit faster.

7. Sleep in

Literally the easiest thing on this list, and also the best. If you have a busy schedule and/or work A LOT, waking up a few hours later feels like heaven.

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
