679: The University Of Michigan Cover

It sounds a little something like this.

679: The University Of Michigan Cover

Have you ever wondered what it would sound like if Fetty Wap had written 679 about going to college at The University of Michigan, rather than whatever it was that he actually wrote 679 about? Well, wonder no more. I've taken one for the team and spent precious hours writing this college-centric version of everyone's favorite Fetty song. (OK, maybe I was just really bored this past week. Sue me.)

Please enjoy the instrumental version of 679 as background music as you sing along to this catchy cover.

Textbook fees, you’re so d*mn high though

I’m trying know if I could get you for 9.99 tho

I’m skipping class like I’m fine thanks tho

And when it’s over, I go to Skeeps yo

You talking band, I ain't got em

No benjamins all in my pockets

I traded in my Rari for a Honda

He’s got a quarter, I’m gonna rob him

I got three dollars in my wallet and 17 cents no 38

I got three dollars in my wallet and 17 cents no 38

I’m like yeah it’s fine

Wonder when my card will be declined

She swipes it, I want to cry

Insufficient funds, could you try it one more time?

Can’t buy this soda

Call my mom, she knows what’s up

No fast money, no blue bucks

Tell me to spend less

Ay, yeaahhhh baby

Tell me what you see

I want Tina Tuesday and Charley's

I spent twenty just this morning

I got my parents calling me

They like Taylor can you explain your bank statement

I’m like yeah

I got chipotle on Tuesday, and Bdubs wings were on sale

All I see is Starbucks stores; you know them things are everywhere

And if this is a problem, I have yet to become aware

Now they say something

Taylor, don’t you play dumb

You know what you did wrong

You don’t want to spending

I’m like yeah it’s fine

Wonder when my card will be declined

She swipes it, I want to cry

Insufficient funds, could you try it one more time?

Can’t buy this soda

Call my mom, she know what’s up

No fast money, no blue bucks

Tell me to spend less

Ay, yeaahhhh baby

This top is cute for 19.99, make me wanna make it mine

It’s way cuter than them sale clothes

If you don’t like it, you can swerve, let's go get tacos and churros

Call ahead we can pick it up at the window

It’s our favorite, press redial, get the same thing every time

Do you take IOU as payment?

Got she dirty looks, hella rude, I ain't Jenner or a loon

But I think I need a payment plan

This suede feels great as I’m walking to her

She a cashier so I’m chatting with her

Bought a lot of stuff, lot of things to just throw on

Thousand dollars when she rings up the coupon

I offer, asked her if I can open up a store card

She said that’s all her, sign a couple papers and it's over

I’m 'bout to spoil her, her as in me with the happy feel

I’m 'bout to spoil her, oh my

I’m like yeah it’s fine

Wonder when my card will be declined

She swipes it, I want to cry

Insufficient funds, could you try it one more time?

Can’t buy this soda

Call my mom, she know what’s up

No fast money, no blue bucks

Tell me to spend less

Ay, yeaahhhh baby

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
