Ahhhh YouTube...home of ridiculous viral videos, low-quality song covers, and reviews for everything known to man. Youtube is the ultimate spot for watching free content (not including the YouTube Red thing they have now where you pay for less adds and some exclusive content). It can be hard to find good things to watch, though, with all of the channels and creators out there. Here are 11 channels to check out if you are wanting to expand your YouTube subscription list.

1. TED

This is the channel to watch when you want to learn something cool in less than 20 minutes. Speakers from around the world participate in TED conferences and discuss interesting subjects in their field or based on their personal experiences. Topics go from political issues in third world countries to self-esteem to new inventions. They post a new video every weekday, so you will never run out of cool things to talk about at your next family dinner.

2. Drew Lynch

So I stumbled upon Drew's channel through some random Facebook video and I got hooked. Basically, his channel is called "Dog Vlogs" and he literally just sits with his dog, Stella, and talks about random stuff. The funny part is that he inserts text into the videos with Stella's "responses" and they are always super funny and sarcastic. Drew is a comedian who appeared on America's Got Talent and is best known, most likely, for his severe stutter. He doesn't let it keep him down, though, and he uses it to inspire others to accept the "different" parts of themselves and just roll with the punches of life. Watch this one if you a) love dogs and/or b) love to laugh.

3. Button Poetry

If you love poetry or spoken word, this is the channel for you. They release new videos every day of different poets performing their work. To say that the majority of these pieces are amazing would be an understatement. The poems come from a very diverse group of poets discussing a very diverse group of topics.

4. Thomas Frank

Also known as College Info Geek, Thomas' channel focuses on college students. His topics include study skills, organization skills, and just general life skills. His videos are a bit less frequent than the others I mentioned above, but they are definitely worth the wait. Watch this if you're feeling overwhelmed by the college lifestyle and are looking for some advice on how to handle things.

5. Nerdist

This one is for all the nerds out there. Ever wonder if a lightsaber could cut through Captian America's shield? Want some in-depth analysis on the last episode of Gae of Thrones? Then this is the channel for you. They cover everything from television to movies to video games to books. It also helps that they are super hilarious.

6. Blogilates

Want some quick workouts that you can do at home without much, or any, equipment?? Try out Blogilates! Cassey Ho runs this channel and puts out new workout videos all of the time. She also puts out a lot of content about body positivity, healthy recipes, and life tips for staying healthy and in shape. She has a super positive personality and is very motivating. Watch this channel if you're looking to get into shape, but don't want to do the same workouts all of the time. With all of her different programs and different workouts that she posts, Cassey will definitely save you from exercise-boredom.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
